In mid-2011, I bought a used 2010 SHO with ~32k on it. Fast forward to this week, and I'm up to just over 76k on the same SHO with the only real problem being the peeling chrome on the taillights (replaced under warranty). Other than a couple sets of tires and oil changes, it's had zero problems. Needless to say, I've been happy with the car. I drive quite a bit for my job and like having a car with this combination of comfort and power.
However, the thought of "what's next" has been in the back of my mind for a bit, and I wanted to be sure I was able to get into something newer before I hit 100k (both to stay under ESP warranty in a newer car and to avoid the dreaded "your trade-in is wholesale value only since it's >100k" issue).
Looked at the inventory at my local dealer (that I found my 2010 at) and saw a new 2014 SHO with PP and optioned up, virtually the same color config (tuxedo black with black interior) as my 2010.
To make a long story short, I wound up taking it home today after a significant amount of haggling on my part - got what I felt was a good value for my 2010 as a trade and with a combination of incentives and the haggling, wound up roughly 6k below MSRP.
Feels a little odd having a new car, that at a quick glance, looks pretty much identical to my previous one, but that's a good thing when one really enjoyed the "previous car".
Looks like I'll definitely be around and in a SHO for another 4-5 years, at least - this is my 4th SHO ('89, '95, '10, and now '14), and I'm looking forward to another 75-100k with this one!
