It was time to replace my 2009 Fusion V-6 SEL. Really liked the SHO but Ford got out of the car business. I saw a gem green one years ago and never forgot it. Decided to look for one. Took months, but I found a 2013 in my favorite color with 80,000 miles that was kept inside and always serviced at the local dealer. It was a trade at the Lexus dealership. Absolutely pristine. It's in the garage next to my Mustang. Found this forum looking for answers about my No Key Detected message. This is my first key fob car and I'm not pleased with that unnecessary technology and the probable cause of my problem. Otherwise I love my SHO.

Welcome. Good chance it is not seeing the fob is due to the fob needing a battery - I would replace that first thing.

hope you got 2 fobs out of the deal. 2 fobs is a must to have independence from dealers and locksmiths. fobs wear out, personally i keep 4, 2 for regular rotation, 2 for backup for each vehicle but you don't have to go that far lol.

does the fob work in the backup slot in the center console? at least thats where i think it is located.

Yes it is in the center console.

As for extra fobs, Dorman makes a fob and programmer. Much cheaper than a dealer.

Welcome, always cool to see another Gem Green owner, the paint is beautiful but fragile so watch out for dings, Ive had 2 cars in this color and it chips easily. as for the fob, I also suggest the battery change, easiest first. And if you have a 2nd fob replace that battery too and see if the problem persists. 9/10 times its the fob that causes the issue, congrats on the find!
