I post in the Gen 4 discussion because of this:

If you ever want to know what a Taurus SHO sounds like naturally, take this part off and plug the hole it came from. It'll probably sound like a vacuum cleaner.

Ooooooh. That's what that is. wait...it's really an amplifier in the SHO?? That engine is as quiet as a coffin from in the cabin.

Exactly what the target audience for the model likely wants. Certainly what I would want. Sound outside, in limited doses below what attracts police is fine, but sound inside should be minimal.

Did you ever hear the story about the Rolls head acoustic engineer being interviewed? The interviewer told the engineer it was so amazingly quiet inside the car he could hear the clock tick. The engineer sighed and said, yes, they had to do something about that clock...

Too each their own I suppose, but I wanna hear that motor. If I don't hear it, it kinda kills the experience for me . I'm not saying I want it to be a screamer annoying everyone down the street (including the police), but I do wanna hear it.

Funny thing about this."Ive had mine off already" is that you can blow though it, being attatched to the intake and being under pressure why would they do that?

Im working on a cap for it already.. its a goofy size and the lip on it is small too.

Which way were you blowing through it? Maybe it's a one way valve?

It's actually supposed to be an amplifier to send more engine sounds to the passenger compartment. It must not work that well because the engine is still very quiet.
