If you had never done this before do you think this article would get you through doing it or is it missing detail?

Better yet, if someone who has never run their codes would print up this page and try to do it that would be a great help too.

You can use it in your sig or wherever... You don't have to give me credit... just don't go telling people that you made it.

My main concern is accuracy... Anyone find any kind of errors in it? I was typing in a hurry.

I agree wholeheartedly. This article is much more understandable (meaning usefule) than the others I used when I pulled the codes. I kept having to refer to the instructions in those articles while running the test ... which means, of course, running the tests several times because you can't count the flashing light and read at the same time! good job.

What's wrong with this picture? You may want to post the links to the Dali Design site for the two-digit codess and maybe even the three-digit codes.

I'm not quite sure. What is wrong with that picture? Isnt 91' the break off date for the 2 digit codes?

Also the 3 digit codes are already on the page and the 2 digit codes should be on later on today. So why would I link to dali?

I think the problem Scott is referring to is that is implies the '89 to '91 uses a 2-digit code, while the '92-'95 uses a 1-digit code.

We'd be very, very limited with 1-digit codes.

Replace the word "one" with "three" and we're good to go!

EDIT: I also think you should stick with the verbage "Key On Engine Running" as it helps clafiry. If the two tests were KOEO and KOEO it would be confusing. KOEO versus KOER is much better, Mike.

I never knew about the solenoid/relay tests and the cylinder balance tests. Are these unique to the SHO or do they work in similar year fords with eec-iv?

They pretty much work on all EEC-IV vehicles, however, I haven't been able to get the relay test to run on some SHOs.
