although I don't advocate the ousting of a player who is the season starter and is still not relatively doing a bad job. But he is basically the only player has not been consistent. If we lose two more games because of Rex's play then I think it is time to give Griese a chance. Griese is a capable quarterback and we payed a lot of money for him to ride the pine. The next few weeks should be a make it or break it point for Rex. It is hard though to rattle a young mans confidence by taking him out. If rex was playing this way and the bears were not a potential NFC Championship winner, I.E. if they were 2 and 9 instead, then I think everybody would singing a different tune. Most people would say that since we have no chance for a winning season so let him go through his progressions and allow him to mature.
If he can be more consistent then let him stay in. Lets not wait until the last 3 games of the season to decide we need a new quarterback. Sounds like a recipe for an end like last year.
