Here is my Flex EcoBoost at the track today. I got spanked by a new Challenger with a Pro Charger. Not bad for factory Flex though.

Great minds think alike. This is for sure a 13 second ride with a tune. When are you gonna post up a video Bob? :woo-hoo:

Now that it's almost fall, and H & R's are on. Will take it to the strip (Cedar Falls Raceway - C.F. IA 85 mi away) in the next few weeks. Both son's live there, (GTO & G8 rides) so may make it a family affair! Also want to run my G8 as soon as I get Kooks installed (arriving Tues.).

What were the track conditions when you ran (temp & humidity?)

Track temp was around 70-65. The Challenger weighed 4500 according to it's owner.

That's what she said lol Well, I guess with the cage and all in it. You have to have at least a 6 point roll bar to run faster than 11.50 all the way to 10.00. After that you have to have a 10 point or greater cage. I think all of the cars now days are porkers. My 2005 Mustang GT weighs 3950 or more. that was before the 85 lb 6 point cage but I lost my two 10" subwoofer so it probably only added 30 lbs or so, so that would make it 3980 at least.

Looks nice, and damn they're quick!! Porkers are why I don't own a 'new' car for my weekend toy... My 85 rx7 weigh's between 2400-2500lbs depending on how full the tank is w/ a 5.0l from my 90 mustang gt. :) You have fun with that extra 1500-2000lbs in a 'new' car.

My 2005 Mustang GT runs 11.44 @ 118 in the quarter so it may be a porker but it hauls all that ass quite nicely. Video @ 6:00

I ran a 14.0 in my EB Flex, stock. It was a little cooler, I believe low 60's. I was impressed! They move pretty good.

How did you leave and what did you do before pulling to the line? I ran mine with Traction Control on. What RPM did you leave at? Temp was 65-70 for most runs. My best were when it was closer to 70. Did you run yours cold or at temp?

TA- traction control off for sure! Found mine launched best around 1700. Tried a bunch of different RPMs and that seemed to be the best. As far as temp, honestly I tried to let it cool down, and by the time I went thru staging it was up to temp. These things warm up FAST!!

EB- cool, yeah let me know!

Could you post a time slip? I'm curious to see where most of your gains were. What are the times for a stock SHO and the stock performance package SHO? Thanks,

Tech

I know it's not a Taurus but it does have the Ecoboost! Anyway I took the Flex out tonight to see what it would do stock before I get a tune for it. My best pass looked like this:

60ft............2.130
330ft...........5.930
1/8 ET.........9.143
1/8 MPH.......77.14
1000'...........11.87
1000' MPH....89.45
1/4 ET.........14.17
1/4 MPH.......97.88

Not bad. Had a bunch of people come up and ask what was done to the vehicle

This is from my 14.1 pass. I'll see if I still have the timeslip from the 14.0 pass. It was like a week later
