Yes the Chilton manual is wrong. Aren't the cylinder numbers on the coil?

I had the same problem when I did my plugs and wires, I trusted the chiltons manual then was running on 4 cylinders for a couple days. untill i figured out, through trial and error, that 2 cylinders in the pic were switched. I think it was the #2 and the #5 that were wrong but i cant remember, its been a while.

I am having the same issue, but i am soooo loost on this it isn't even funny. I understand which plugs are what but what i don't know is the wire goes to what plug... Like is there a way to number the wires? someone help

The OEM wires had numbers imprinted under the plastic spiral wrap. You can still find sets around, but they are pricy. I looked at a set of AC Delco wires 826Q and they didn't have the numbers on them. Not sure about other brands.
