Well, Since buying my SHO in December, I tried registering multiple time for this forum but was always told the email address was blocked. I was only able to sit by and read what you wonderful folks have been saying. Now I can participate.

It mainly is for the wife. I switched to a job that I work from home and had a Mazdaspeed3 that I went from putting about 45k miles on a year to about 20 a month. I could not see making a monthly payment for another 3 years on a car I barely got to enjoy. My wife's 2001 focus was obviously getting old and I wanted to get her a new car, so I decided to trade in my MS3 and get something that we both would like to drive.

We decided to go "Big" since we were just going to keep her car for an airport runner for me and only have one car payment. We test drove so many different cars, never even had the SHO on the radar because I did not think my wife would like it.

I secretly chose a Ford dealership that had one in stock, just in case. And wouldn't you know it, as soon as we drove in, it was up front (2011 Ingot Silver with umber seats, 402a with nav.) and she loved it. When she sat in it and found out it had adjustable pedals, she wanted it. She is a very small girl, 4'9", and it is very difficult for her to get comfortable in most cars because she has to sit so close to the wheel. When she pushed the button for the power rear sunshade she giggled like a school girl. When we took it for a test drive and I floored it, I giggled like a school girl.

What a great car this is. I am so glad Ford decided to bring it back. I was always a fan of the old SHOs and of course Ford. We always get compliments from friends and family and even drive through employees on how nice looking the car is. They cant believe its a Taurus!

So that's my story. Looking forward to finally being able to participate in the forums with you guys.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys.

I Live in New Bedford. I try to make it up to NH Dragway a couple times a year, Cant wait to go now. When I went last year there was someone running an SHO and was getting good times with it. You guys will have to let me know when you head up there.

I'm not sure about any upgrades yet, though I have been eying the Livernois tune just for the things I hear about the improvement in shifting. I just worry so much about warranty problems. If something happened and it wasn't covered because of it, I would never hear the end of it :)

I had the same concern, but after getting and installing the Livenois Stage 2 tune, I kicked myself for waiting. The guys at LMS have really done their homework, and almost no one has experienced anything but large amounts of fun and the inability to get the smile off their face after installing and driving with the LMS tunes. I encourage you to do it. You can't believe how much it improves an already great car. BTW, you won't find nicer people or better customer service then that provided by Livernois Motorsports. They simply are the best. I don't think anyone thinks the LMS tune was a waste of money.
