Just like shotimes said...The spring in the pedal assembly vibrates against the pedal arm and makes an audible noise. I bonded two strips of bicycle inner tube between the spring and the pedal arm. I also stuffed the inside of the spring with foam rubber. Key is you have to take the pedal out and disassemble it to do it properly. I tried to do it with the pedal in the car but there is no way to get the damping material where it needs to be. It's only been nagging me for 6yrs now.
