finally saw a new Tesla plaid run

Just after lunch today by Marty B's in flower mound I was behind a 20 gt500 that I was thinking about messing with while in the wife's car. A new Tesla with 4 people lined up with the Mustang at the north bound light they were all laughing so I new it was about to go down. Off the line the Tesla was at least 2 lengths ahead then it was like watching a something go to light speed on Star Wars. Ive heard the new Plaids will run 9's at 150 and I thought that was BS, not anymore. I seriously don't know of anything that can run like that. I saw it and cant believe it.

Its worth picking a race with one just to watch it go.

I watched a bunch of tesla 1/4 runs at the person's local track on youtube. ran against t/c, s/c, nitrous, spanked everything. crazy acceleration

Yep my worst street light experience in my SHO was against a P90D on Ludacris mode. Looked like I dropped a cruise ship anchor.

I was wondering how they get away with no chute, or roll cage, when they are trapping 150mph.

I'm assuming they will be banned at some point without having the correct equipment?

I believe you can run into the 9's now with factory equipment.

Last i looked was 9.9 or quicker needed cage and more safety stuff. I dont remember what the Demon ran but it was banned because it didnt meet safety requirements after its run. Better to have a cars thats so quick its banned imo, **** putting a cage in it.

I dunno, I slipped in some oil on my last run and SHO went sideways going 120mph. I feel pretty lucky the car didn’t roll. A roll cage has been on mind ever since. Luckily the Audi I was running against ran an 11.0 other wise I probably would have been T-***** by a slower car. The Audi was also my first loss to a street car fortunately!

Yeah thats true. Going through tech at some tracks is pretty laid back though. Not here though, quicker than 10 flat and they will pull you off without a cage. That and guys arent stupid anymore they know what and who to keep an eye on. I guess the Tesla guys will have to roll out of it at 1000' marker lol
