I began this question in another thread, but the not starting problem occured after I had several other problems so I felt I should start another thread.

I had a coolant hose burst that connects between the throttle body and the engine block, it got pretty hot while I was driving, but I was able to limp over to my familys house. After replacing the hose, my car wouldnt start. It was compression, it has spark, it has fuel pressure and the engine is turning over. We even tried spraying starter fluid in the throttle body, but it didnt help. Any ideas why this would be?

I'm not sure I understand how its even possible for an engine to not start under these conditions, haha. Any help would be appreciated. There were no codes.

If there are no codes (check for current and stored), if your engine came to an irratic stop due to the overheat situation, the timing belt may have jumped enough to be totally out of time. That way, fuel plus spark does not lead to a definite start, to answer your last comment.

are you SURE it as spark?

if it has fuel pressure, compression and spark, then you have the following possibilities:
timing is off, fuel injectors are not firing or not being told to fire
that is pretty much it.

however, since you say you sprayed starter fluid in it with no start or no firing, that means that either: there is no spark or the spark timing is all wrong.

if the engine died, there are codes (unless you disconnected the battery and erased them) so you need to tell us what the codes are.

Crank sensor is bad. It controls when spark plugs fire and the cam sensor controls the injectors. The DIS module connects it all to the ECU.
