Go for it, seeing as your not trying to FIX anything this way. These things can and do work, but its minimal. More of something you do BEFORE something goes wrong rather then hope its a miracle in a can.

Of those type products, I have seen the most results w/ Auto-RX. SeaFoam was less effective than Auto-RX in my experience.

If depends on what the engine's issues are and how bad they are. If the rings are sticky, they can make it better. If the rings are stuck, it will need to be taken apart and cleaned properly....

Another vote for Auto RX. Expensive but if it saves you from taking an engine apart to clean it piece by piece, darn well worth it.

For all you cheap skates out there, a quart of plain old ATF added to your oil about 200-500 miles before you change it will really clean also.

Restore is the only thing I have seen personaly work. Had a old six banger the fouled plugs becasue of high milage and just being worn out. Stuck a can in it for the fun of it. Stopped fouling plugs and oil consumption went down to normal.

I wouldnt put it in a perfectly good engine but for something on its last legs it may be a cheap option to get some more life out of it.
