Electrical Connector Taped To MAF Wire

Recently completed a clutch replacement on my 1991 SHO+ and cannot figure out where to attach the electrical connector that is taped to the MAF wire. Is this an extra connector that does nothing or does it have a home? Anyone else have this connector hanging just below the MAF. Car runs fine and everything seems normal.

Does it go to your air-charge temp sensor? It's located in the bottom of the air box.

Black, rectangle, two wires right? It plugs into a solenoid( shrug ) on the shock tower for the egr system. Not used on non egr cars. Just realized it's purpose earlier today too.

The air charge temp. sensor is installed in the air box so that's not it...How do I know if my vehicle has EGR? Does your car have this 2 wire black connector hanging loose too?

Are you talking about this connector? I was having trouble finding out what it went to on this 89 MTX as well. Only the CA MTX's and all ATX's have the EGR.

If the connector in Eriks pic is what your talking about then don't worry about it. I will try posting a pic of it tomorrow.

Yes it is. Here is a pic
The piece in the center is the solenoid or whatever that it plugs into. The connector is just to the right, it's like yours except the tab is broken off. There are also two vacuum lines that come out of those two rubber outlets on the bottom of the solenoid and go over to the egr valve and the intake. There are three wires that come out of a bundle, one goes to the act sensor, one goes to the maf and this one is the third.
