This isn't gonna give me a lamp out light, correct? I'm quite sick of my dash blinking at me lol. After my airbags deployed when I splintered a utility pole in December, I was getting a constant code from the idiot light. It got very annoying, very quickly, so I took out the bulb. Little did I know that would cause 5 or so sets of 5 obnoxious beeps to come from the computer area every time I start the car. Also happens again after it's been running for a while. That's much better than a constant distraction though. :angelnot:

I actually don't know about that one, sorry... You can always take the lamp out bulb out too, it won't make your car beep 10 sets of 5. :p

Heh, I'd rather have that light working. Whenever I'm driving and see burnt out or broken headlights, cornerlights, tails, whatever, I always think to myself how crappy it makes the car look. I'd much rather know a bulb is out the moment it happens, not a week later when someone finally points it out to me.

Plus I'm still peaved about my passenger side fog light and its wiring harness. They fell victim to the accident too. The wiring harness snapped on impact not too far from the light, and IIRC, the bracket and light were laying on the ground at the time of the accident. I left before the car was towed, and those items were never seen again. I thought the guys at the shop would at least ask before tossing parts of my car. :shakehead: Oh well.

Sorry for hijacking.

Load resistors are the back-assward, inefficient, and wrong way of fixing the fast blink problem.

Can someone post the colors of the wires that plug into the flasher module? I'm having a problem with my signals, and I need to swap in a new module. I think I have it figured out, but I'd like to be sure.

Sorry for the hi-jack, I figured with everyone gettings these lights, someone will have access to the wire colors. Thanks!

I'll be swapping in an LED friendly module for my future LED tails.

EDIT: Nevermind, I took a guess and plugged in my flasher to the harness and I have turn signals again.

Unplug the lamp out module behind the glovebox.

this flasher did nothing but make the lamp out light go off while making a left turn signal in comparison with the stock flasher

If you're still getting a quick flash, but only when you signal one side and not the other, you have a blown turn signal. Probably up front since you installed the LED tails.

He shouldn't get the quick flash with the electric module since fixing the quick flash is the reason why one needs to replace the factory unit.

It will not fix the lamp out light however, you either have to unplug the lamp out module as per Ian or take out the bulb. I chose to take the bulb out.

The flashing is fine it is just the lamp out light comes on everytime i hit the brakes or make a right turn with the signal. How hard is it to take out that bulb? I was hoping this 30 dollar part would fix all the problems with the LED upgrade.

The lamp out coming on is normal. Taking out the bulb is simple, just undo a few bolts and pop the gauge cluster loose.

I got my module for about $12 shipped to me up here in Canada, and nobody ever said it'll fix the lamp out light, but just the hyper blink.

Here's a little writeup I did about taking off the gauge face. If you got skinny hands you can leave the speedo cable attached and still have enough slack to take out the bulb.

Hope that helps.

In most cases LED's will outlast the vehicle...BY FAR. 100,000 hours +

How do you explain all those burnt out LEDs on our deck lid spoilers? ;)

Either way tho, I question the durability of these LED tails as well. Many aftermarket LED tails don't tend to last a long time.
