Last night my battery light came on and the EATC display died...doesn't work at all. For the last few weeks I also noticed that the outside temperature read as 55ish no matter how hot it was. Is my EATC dead or is this another problem? Everything else in the car works fine.

Probably your alternator is dead. The EATC will quit, the radio will quit, then the engine will quit. Easy enough to replace. I had mine rebuilt for less than the cost of a reman. unit from Autozone (ATX, the MTX version is cheaper).

The outside temp. issue could be the sensor at the front of the car, behind the grille.

After work today the EATC came back on, but the battery light is still on. The radio works as well...is it a progressive thing or will everything die at once?

sounds like a charging system issue. any trouble starting?

check cables for corrosion (not just ends but where the ends meet the cable) battery voltage when car is off.. battery voltage with engine idling and at 2-3k rpm

also grounds.

Nope, no problems at all, the car runs perfectly fine otherwise

I will check the connections tomorrow. What voltage reading should I get? The battery is less than a year old.

12.5+ when off, about 13.5 when idling and if you rev it should rise upto 14 and change or so but not much higher.

not sure of exact figures a search will find you threads with lots of useful info regarding testing the charging system.
