I'm thinking late May or early June. I would be willing to travel to KC as long as the SHO stays out of trouble.

45 min, what are you kidding?

We BS'd in the parking lot for about 45 minutes in the low 40s with a strong wind before going into the museum.

Then we went to a buffet. It's good to be unhealthy once in a while. But hey, I had a salad!

I'm all for going to KC!

What to do???
-Worlds of Fun
-Oceans of Fun
-Cabelas
-etc...

There is tons to do in KC... Like I said, every Wednesday, Friday and some Saturdays, KCIR has a race what you bring deal for 20 bucks. World of fun is only about 20 minutes north of KCIR. To the west about 30 minutes from WoF, we have Wolcott Drive which is a fun little twisty road that is not very traveled at all. Like I said before, I could easily get a discount on some dyno pulls from Executive Performance in Merriam, KS. Kansas Speedway and Cabellas are in KCK as well about 5 minutes south of Wolcott Drive. Dave and Buster's is also next door to Cabellas. And all of that from just 2 minutes of thinking. I am sure I could find a hundred other things to do from posting on www.kcsr.org (local street racing site with a lot of cool mature people). ****, I am sure I could even talk my dad into letting me borrow the back yard for a while and have a little BBQ in the afternoon if the meet lasts that long... Never know... :salute:

I can't believe I left out Sadler's Indoor Racing. I just got back from there a few minutes ago. 1/3 mile track with fast straights and hard corners (constantly turning lock to lock) and I averaged 43 mph for the 23 laps I did in 15 minutes. They also have an arcade there too with tons of stuff.

I want to do all of the above in one day!

Indoor racing is definitly high on my list. We used to have one in Lincoln, and there was also one in Omaha. The one in O-town recently closed, partially due to someone having a heart attack and dying just after racing there.:oogle:

Getting or on the real track would be fun as well, and I'm always up for BBQ!

Wellll, lets get the boulders rolling on this thing!

KC sounds good to me, Indoor racing sounds like a blast! Maybe Dave and Busters for some grub, or even BBQ like LJR said.

James, maybe you can make a post in the STL club section about theis, and maybe just make a link to this thread and have people join in, and have their input as well.

I don't know how many of us would be willing to take our car out on the strip, but that would be fun to go, even for those who don't want to track their car.

Meet

Joe,
Got your post over in the new member section of the SHO forum. I work on the weekends, but if there's a get together that extends into Memorial Day, let me know, I'll make my way from MO.

I'm up for going to Kansas City. Let's just try to set up a time by the end of this month.

Memorial day could be a possibility, Monday, May 26th. That weekend would be good in general. The only thing about having it on memorial day, is that some of the places we've talked about going may be closed. The last saturday in May (31st) could also be good, or we could even go earlier.

I don't know what other people have planned around Memorial day, but that could be a good possibility.
