Just a short (by short, I mean LONG) and unedited video of the install of the DW300c into the hanger assembly. Pretty straight forward but there are a few things not covered in the instructions and some helpful pointers I discovered. Perform at your own risk. Definitely one of those "how the sausage is made" videos and if you have an aversion to cutting into OEM stuff, it might make ya squeamish, LOL. Anyway, just one way I found to skin this cat, I'm sure there are others.

A few more close ups of the wire connector (Toyota PN: 90980-11080) I modified in the install video.

A pleasure to see others like yourself, stepping into the foray of documenting and providing a "How-To" tutorial.

Much appreciated. By myself, as well as others looking to perform the same upgrade.

Thanks and nicely done!

Thanks. I'm new to making vids and not skilled in editing them. I've got 1000s of photos of everything I do, but the circle of friends I hang with always tells me to video what I'm doing, since I do 90% of my own work. I'll post more of them. I started a YouTube channel with them as well, but I'm sure I'm a boring YouTube content provider, haha

Anyway, I prefer unedited vids as I can see every step. Too often I go to a YouTube vid that is edited down to 6 or 7 minutes and something I was interested in seeing got glossed over. I would venture to say that it isn't too hard to fast forward through the boring parts lol.

Thanks again

Thanks for the video. I like that you included the struggling parts. Leaves more realistic expectations. Half the frustration of doing some things to your car is watching a 4 minute video where everything is easy and done in one try, and the reality is it almost never goes that easily.

awesome. Out of curiosity which instructions did you use? The ones made with my basket assembly that are posted on our website or the ones that came with the pump? I guess I need to open one and see what it comes with these days.

Thanks for the love.

Your website? Not sure what's on your website as I've never been on it. I used instructions emailed to me by Dakota over at DW directly. The instructions they sent were pretty accurate, most of my "additions" are either clarifications or tips I figured out.

We worked with Brandon at Deatchwerks to improve the kit to have it as realistic as possible to install since it was previously listed as "plug n play" as they were unaware the 10-12 and 13-19 options were different.

When we bought ours it clearly wasn't plug n play and there was no pigtail nor instructions. We worked with Brandon at DW to come up with these instructions:

Yup those were the ones, Dakota had emailed those to me. They were pretty spot on instructions, so congrats, they helped quite a bit. But me not being a fan of butt connectors (and I have severe OCD, lol), decided to go one step further and make that plug harness a true, complete, uninterrupted piece with the terminal ends, instead of splicing. I also found that a 1 1/2" spade bit worked pretty decently to get rid of that ridge, but only because I didn't have a 38mm hole saw at the time. I will say though, that's it's probably easier with the 38mm hole saw.

haha...I hadn't really thought about that yet, I guess it's possible. I do a lot of work on cars/bikes locally, so it wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility, if people were interested. I will admit though, I'm famous for working VERY slow (but methodical) and I'm not usually the cheapest guy in town.

TBH though, this isn't really too difficult of an install as far as modifications go.

I was only half kidding. Still undecided as to whether or not I’m going with the GH turbos.

Are they offering some version of their own turbos or are they the ATPs? I've spoken with Matt over there a few times about other stuff and never knew they offered turbos, but I never bothered to ask since I already have the ATPs.

Ah, yes, the CHRA I'm assuming. Yup, that's a nice upgrade from stock and will bring plenty smiles per gallon, LOL. I've seen em sold at various locations but only as the CHRA portion, with you having to do the conversion itself.

No. It’s not just a CHRA slap. There is more work done to them than a CHRA replacement.

It's a rework of the OEM housing just like ATP's. ATP turbos are also hybrid turbos except just barely bigger than GH turbos. GH Turbos are good for every bit of 550awhp though while retaining OEM like spool which is the GH turbos claim to fame while the ATP's have a little bit of lag.
