Im having serious idle speed problems here guys!
OK...a while back I put in new battery.
I did the reset idle thing to no avail. Still stalling and low RPMs
Then I removed the IAB and cleaned it....did the reset thing....folowed reset instructions to the max.....still same old crap!....low rpm's....stalling.
Now my check engine light comes on once in a while.
I have to run the car with the AC on to keep from stalling out at stop lights.
OK.....now what???? UGGGGGGGGG

Ummm... have you tried replacing the throttle position sensor? Cleaning the IAB will not always cure its malfunctioning. It may require replacement.

Look into the speed sensor as well. It may affect your idle.
It affects idle only if the EEC-IV detects that the car is in motion (via the VSS).

Run the codes and post them.

The KOER test makes a check of the ISC and will tell you if it doesn't like it.

Try the throttle position sensor first. It is located on the side of throttle body. It should be black with clip on wire connector. You can get this at Autozone and it's not very expensive. It is internally spring loaded so when you install it have the connector end at about 2o'clock and turn it to line up the screw holes at 3o'clock. Careful with stripping the screws. If this happens the replacements will probably have hex heads instead of phillips head.
