Darn, I just noticed my whites don’t come on anymore. The ambers come on when locking and unlocking and when signaling but after locking it is supposed to switch to whites also while driving the whites are supposed to be on.

I looked a little closer and I can see the whites barely coming on and flickering off, I also checked the module and it felt extremely hot.

Anybody else had any issues with the whites stop working and/or the module going bad? This is the new improved module as of about 2 years ago.
Unfortunately your not the only one:

My box runs hot as well. I am waiting for the disappointing news it stopped working. I wish the design had a plug in harness, so we can replace the brain when it fails and not have to rip it out.

Mine just started acting up and the whites are flickering. Sadly it is only a one-year warranty and they only replace the individual part (not a kit). I got a module once under warranty and it is failing again.

Sorry to hear this - I am sure all the work - and sweat, I put into mine will have the same fate.

A plug in harness would be the way to go. Dan verified that it was the controller and since I'm 2 years into this one I had to purchase a replacement for $50. I'm going to give it another shot and see if I can get at least another 2 years out of this one....

That is fair - I guess. I like the way it works, its a shame.

Very much agree. It sucks to have to rewire the whole thing or to splice all of the wires. Unplugging the controller and replacing would make the job a lot easier and a little bit easier to swallow the failure rate.
