This the 'Neutral Safety Switch' or the 'Starter / Clutch Interlok Switch'
I replace it with a new on and both are still doing the samething.
After hooking it up then pressing on the clutch pedal, the plastic piece (chrome arrow) slide to the end of the rod.

I want to drill a hole 1 inch from the end of the rod and put in a 'hitch pin clip'. To stop it from sliding.

The car won't start, battery good and starter not clicking.

It 94 Sho 74k miles 5 speed

Thanks

You can bypass that switch by placing a paperclip in the connector slots for that switch. You will have to remember, if in gear, to push the pedal down. Both of my MTX's have this bypassed.

you can also make a "poor man's" starter **** :lock: by installing a toggle switch after bypassing the stock switch. the switch in mine still works but I cut one of the wires and put in a hidden toggle switch, when it's off the car wont start if the clutch is in or not.:thumb:
