Drilling holes in factory muffs to get more sound??

I purchased bullet muffs last year and intended to put them on but decided against installing them until my factory muffs died. So I sent them back and nowI regret it. I want to unleash some of the sound of my car but I can't afford to at this time. I have read that some people have drilled holes in their factory muffs to let out the sound. Is this true? If so, how does it sound, were do I drill and how many holes should be drilled? I am desiring a more throaty sound but don't want to cut off perfectly good muffs, so I thought I could help **** them and get better sound the cheap way.

I don't know if I would chose the option of drilling holes in perfectly fine 400 series stainless muffs. Why not go out and buy a set of cheap turbo's. The sound quality of turbo's on these cars is very nice, but not overly loud. Alot of nice muffs available without busting your wallet wide open. Remove the res at the same time. Not an expensive project.

Just have someone remove the resonator. That will give you some more sound out the stock muffs. You are going to want to do that when you install some aftermarket muffs anyways so.
