Dome Light Won't Go Off......HELP!

I own a 1997. When the door shuts the light is suppose to stay on for a little bit. But now it stays on and does not go off. Can anyone tell me how to fix this problem and what must be done??????? THanks

I don't know what the real fix is, but to save your battery you can pull the bulb for the time being. shrug

Have you had an alarm recently installed or have an alarm and replaced the car battery lately?

Our 97 SLO does the same thing from time to time. The door light switch is in the latch mechanism, and the Gen 3's are know for problems with these. Get a can of WD40, put the straw thing on it, and spray the latch mechanism, on the door jamb. Also stick the straw in the lock and give it a couple shots. Works wonders. I did ours for the first time a couple years ago, I had to repeat about a month after that, and it's been fine ever since.
