I had steam coming from the hood yesterday on the drivers side. Opened up the hood looked inside and found antifreeze residue on the wiper motor cover. So I tried to look some more the heater core hoses are dry and it looks like the water is coming from the drivers rear corner of the head. It makes sense that I have residue on the motor cover if it is coming from there. My ? is, is this what I think it is and how hard and expensive is it to change it out myself or have it done by someone?

There are so many places for coolant to leak on these engines. You really have to dig to find it.
Heater Hoses
cross over tube
crossover tube to block
TB hoses
etc...

SHOs don't usually blow gead gaskets. Even though you said you checked I'd still guess that one or more of the heater hoses down there is leaking. Get a cooling system pressure tester from AutoZone to find where the problem is.

Thanks for the idea of the crossover tube AREA 91 I forgot about that. I've had the hose from the engine to the tube fail before. The other hoses to the fire wall were the dry ones. Wel I'll did into it here at work before I go home since I have to find which pulley is squeelling on me. I also had that this morning. When I first bought my SHO over 2 years ago I didn't know what I was getting into. Now I do. I had a 74 Nova witha 327 that failed on me on a daily basis kinda reminds me of that
