Displays next to speedometer going blank

While driving the two displays next to the speedometer go blank for about 3 seconds then turn back on. Very intermittent. Has happened roughly 6 times in the last 3 weeks but seems to be increasing. Radio and everything on the main display work fine and don't shut down. 2013 sho. 3.6 sync update I believe. Not sure if that would play a role in the dash screens. Anyone else experienced this problem? Any insight greatly appreciated.

Could possibly be a problem with the IPC, may need reprogramming or replacement. I don't think it's the Sync version causing it ...

RIGHT HAND MULTIMEDIA DISPLAY AREA MISSING THE COMPASS AND TURN BY TURN DISPLAY – BUILT ON OR BEFORE 1/25/2014

ISSUE:

Some 2014 Taurus or MKS vehicles built on or before 1/25/2014 may exhibit an issue where the instrument panel cluster (IPC) right hand multimedia display area is missing the compass and turn-by-turn display.

ACTION:

Follow the Service Procedure steps to correct the condition.

SERVICE PROCEDURE
1.Using Integrated Diagnostic System (IDS), Select ToolBox, Module Programming, As-built, IPC.
2.Use the automatic function for programming the module with the as-built data pulled from PTS.

140109A 2014 Taurus, MKS: Program The IPC Module Using As-Built Data (Do Not Use With Any Other Labor Operations) 0.2 Hr.

Eligible Under Provisions Of New Vehicle Limited Warranty Coverage.
