Did I Blow The Engine? HELP NEEDED!!!!

iv free'ed up a couple locked up motors before... one of which locked up again (sludge in the pan no oil running threw the engine) and from what you say..... you had it running then turned it off then it wouldnt crank anymore... just made one click??? sounds like the motor locked up... and only 2qt's of oil in the car isnt enough to run high r's maybe not even enough to safely idle the car... id try the cheap rout... replace the crank/rod bearsing... put in some thin synth oil and if the motor cranks then cool... but if it dont theres a tool (basicly a big bar) that is ment for freeing up locked up motors... i my self either put a breaker bar on the crank bolt and try to turn it that way slowly or if u can get to the flex plate you can use a crow bar or tire iron on the teeth of the flexplate to turn the motor slightly and work it back and forth if you wanna be safe about it put a lil bit of oil in each spark plug hole NOT ALOT! just like half an oz at the most anymore and the motor wont turn. well thats the cheap way out, and thats what id do if i was broke unless if you can score a motor for cheap that is.

Well, just tried turning the crankshaft damper, and that sucker won't bulge. I couldn't put as much muscle to getting it turn because of leverage issues, but, nonetheless, it didn't seem like it would spin at all!

The two noises I described earlier: the loud banging/rattling metal, and, the thump/**** feeling the car instantly did........what do you think these were? I'm thinking the rattling metal sound when I tried to start up the engine again could have been the rod bearing(s) coming loose, or the teeth of the starter rattling with the flexplate???? As for the thump/****, is that the feeling of a converter grenading?????

I don't want to waste putting in an engine before knowing that the tranny is still good. I got a 636 ((O,R) Transmission Oil Temperature (TOT) sensor out of range - Transmissions) code after all of this.

Yea you've got a blown motor by what you've written.By any chance was there oil leaking out of your tailpipes at all?I've experienced other fords especially pick-ups start draining oil out the pipes and if you haddn't caught it--****!---the engine is shot or is knocking.Just wanted to know.
