Stuttering at idle

Hello all,

Well I picked up my 99 V8 SHO today and I only have one problem. When I come to a stop, the car's RPM falls to zero and then goes back up. It feels as though the car is about to shut off but it doesn't. While driving the car it runs really smooth.

During my test drive, the car did not do this and the dealer put the car in the shop because a SES came on while test driving the car. The light is not on now and the dealer said they gave the car a tune up.

I'm thinking it's a sensor which initially triggered the SES. I do hope it's a sensor and not something more serious. I have a warranty on the car so I'm taking it to my shop on Saturday but I would like to have a head's up on this problem.

Anyone?

Bad coil. Get them to run a power balance test on the WDS (Worldwide Diagnostic System) and get them to replace the coil and the plug. Don't let them tell you it's anything different like a dirty injector or MAF sensor.

Trouble code P1413.
Tests/Procedures:
1. At the Powertrain Control Module (PCM), ground pin 70 Brown (BR) wire. With pin 70 grounded, the Secondary Air Injection (SAI) pump should run and battery voltage should be present at pin 5 White/Orange (WH/OG) wire.

2. If voltage is not present at the WH/OG, and the pump is not running when grounding the BR wire, check fuse 8 30A in the engine compartment fuse box.

3. If the fuse is OK, go to the relay located near the pump behind the front bumper. Verify battery voltage is present from fuse 8 on the White (WH) wire. If so, try grounding the BR wire at the relay, recheck the WH/OG. If still no voltage out, then replace the relay. Also try jumping the WH wire to the WH/OG to run the SAI pump and make sure it sounds OK and does not blow the fuse.
Potential Causes:
Harness
Secondary Air Injection (SAI) Pump Relay

P1130 Lack of HO2S-11 Switching, Fuel Trim at Rich/Lean Limit
Possible Causes Setting Conditions

* HO2S signal circuit open, shorted to ground or shorted to voltage
* HO2S has failed (it may be contaminated with fuel, silicone or water)
* Low fuel pressure or vehicle driven until it was out of fuel
* Oil dipstick not seated or engine oil level too high (overfilled)
* Vacuum hoses leaking and/or damaged
* Check for air leaks in the Air Induction system (e.g., in the intake manifold)
* Check for air leaks in the exhaust manifold and in the exhaust pipes
* Check for air leaks after the MAF sensor mounting location
* Check for air leaks in the PCV system and in its related hoses and/or valve
* EGR diaphragm leaking or the gasket is leaking
* EVAP vapor recovery system has failed
* Excessive fuel pressure, leaking or contaminated fuel injectors
* Fuel pressure regulator is leaking or damaged
* HO2S connector is damaged (check pins for damage, and for moisture)

DTC P0300-P0310 not set; engine running in Closed Loop, and the PCM detected the Bank 1 HO2S-11 circuit was too lean or rich, or that it could no longer control (change) the Fuel Trim because it had reached its rich or lean limit.

This code sets in 2 Trip(s).
This code will turn on the MIL (Malfunction Indicator Lamp)

P1131 Lack of HO2S-11 Switching, Sensor Indicates Lean (Bank 1)

P1131 Lack of HO2S-11 Switching, Sensor Indicates Lean (Bank 1)
Possible Causes Setting Conditions

* Check for air leaks after the MAF sensor mounting location
* Check for air leaks in the EGR system and in its related hoses and/or valve
* Check for air leaks in the PCV system and in its related hoses and/or valve
* HO2S connector is damaged (check pins for damage, and for moisture)
* HO2S signal circuit open, shorted to ground, shorted to voltage
* HO2S has failed (it may be contaminated with fuel, silicone or water)
* Low fuel pressure or vehicle driven until it was out of fuel
* Vacuum hoses leaking and/or damaged

Engine running in Closed Loop; and the PCM detected that the HO2S-11 signal was less than 0.450v. In this case, the PCM is "correcting" rich for an overly lean condition.

This code sets in 2 Trip(s).
This code will turn on the MIL (Malfunction Indicator Lamp)

Code P1510 Stuck Closed

Hey I'm new to this site and I was wondering if anyone could help me out.. I looked up the code for P1510 and it came up as the secondarys in the intake manifold are stuck closed.. I took apart my intake manifold and they were all gunked up.. I cleaned them up and now they move freely but the check engine light still comes up even after I cleaned them thouroughly two times and cleared the code.. I was wondering if there is a sensor or something of that sort that could create this problem..

Is your IMRC (Intake Manifold Runner Control) motor in working condition?

I get the same code when i know 100% for sure that the imrc motor is working and my butterfly's are clean. i think its likely that the motor is wearing out and is taking a higher voltage then normal to open yet still opens. either that or theres some monitor thats malfunctioning but not sure.

The simple solution to this is to wire open the IMRC and disconnect it. Clear the code and you are done. Some go the extra stage and remove it completely. Others go even further and remove the butterflies also.
