Yeah, if youre not satisfied with your suspension now, just wait till you cut the springs...every little pebble in the road...It will be like driving in Afghanistan. You cant increase the spring rebound on already worn out struts.

i cut coils on my new aftermarket springs. it hasnt affected anything yet, other than having an aggressive alignment. all i cut from the springs were the dead coils, used to give it stock ride height. of course, my springs are progressive rate too. i was the first to cut the coils on the springs and install Tokico struts. 9 months later, its still tight and makes highway driving a blast.

by purchasing the springs and cutting a coil, i have a lower stance and better spring rate than any Eibach...and...i didnt spend almost 300 for my springs. 110 shipped to my door for all four.

so, if im a ricer, by god, let me go buy a gawdy wing that doesnt match my vehicles contours, cheesy vinyl Japanese hieroglyphics, 32" blings, bags, neon underbody/interior/windshield nozzles/pulsing valve stem caps/carbon fiber fart can mufflers/fuzzy dice, Type R stickers for my rotary 13 piston engine, unpainted ground effects, and find me a 15 yr old chick who has mad flava for guys like me....well..make her 17 and i wont tell if she wont tell...

Naa, DHmag you are only a ricer if you cut your stock eleven year old springs and then leave in the *presumably* original struts. That mod would NOT make highway driving a blast. And by the way, i love my 32" rims!

I also have cut moogs I really like them and they allowed me to save a bit on expensive struts. I have moog ccs with 1.5 coils cut up front with monroe sensatracs. The ride is harsh on Baltimore roads but feels really nice on the highway and gives pretty good handling. I cant wait to outfit the rears!

Moogs all the way around too. i did mine and coupled them with Tokicos. Kenny (NotSoSlowSHO) did his after me but installed Sensa-trac struts. the research he and i did on determining the right spring for the right application...i consider us the pioneers of Moog Coil Spring modification.

Sweet, Im famous :snicker:

Ya, MOOGs are great.

Quality progressive coils + VERY CHEAP = great idea :D

My suspension is consisted of the MOOG Coils, Monroe Sensatracs, TPR bushings, and AL SFBs. She handles awesome :thumb: The only thing I think Ill do to the suspension is a set of sub frame connectors, that should be the icing on the cake ;)

Yes, actually reading about you two's experiences was a major factor in my decision. Much respect to those who try something new!:thumb: I have not had any problems so far. It is a really funny feeling to have the rears (stock) compress around corners but the front stay almost perfectly level. Great testament to the strength of the moogs. As soon as I have the money im getting moogs and sensatracs for the rear.

well, thanks for the compliment. though it irks me that i try and help everyone else out but when i have a simple request, i cant even get a response. hence me doing the spring research mostly on my own. i give thanks to Kenny for bringing up the option of the Moog coils and to whoever took the time to develop the shoparts database on superhighoutput.com

i didnt cut stock springs. i cut brand new aftermarket springs. if the camber plates have been seperated from the strut tower, id suspect you have severly changed the camber and that is what is causing the right side pull.

I was adressing the statement reagarding cut stock springs to 93 taurussho DHmag.

93 Taurussho I highly recommend that you get the moogs, cut them and reassemble with new struts, mounts and hardware. Anything less and you are bound to run into problems later and will kick yourself when you have to pull tha strut/spring assembly a second time.

Well guys thanks for all the responses. After I cut the springs and had to drive from Daytona Beach to Atlanta on cut stock springs I was about to go crazy! The car wouldn't stop bouncing even though I installed Monroe Sensa-tracs after cutting. So I went out and bought the Moog CC858's for the front andam planning to re-install tomorrow. Does everybody agree 1 coil should be cut from the front because I don't want to have another ****** ride back! Feedback would be appreciated and thanks for all the help.
