curious about the dynomax

i may sound kinda stupid, but i'm curious, what would be the noticable differences between the stock exhaust and the dynomax on my 94 atx? would the car run smoother? the the car be a bit quicker? would the exhaust be more loud or more quiet? thanks...

You will gain maybe 3 hp and about "100 hp of noise". I use that in quotations cause I didn't make up that catchy little example.

But It will be louder. Not MUCH louder but noticably different. Search around and you can find quite a few video clips.

The dynomax is a great starting point for exaust breathing. You will not feel any h.p. difference and it really is not that much louder. The biggest difference is the increase in piping size.

As for running smoother, not unless your current system is clogged.

Rusty stock system. Looking for alittle more of an exaust note. Want to have a bettter flowing exaust... There are results, just not anything to brag about.

Some folks want that "100hp of noise" Why do so many Hondas have a 4" pipe sticking out of the back of their 1.5l cars?

I guess after driving around with a leaky stock exhaust, I didn't notice any difference in noise. I don't think my Dynomax kit is that much louder than my other stock system cars.

my '93 got quieter after I installed a dynomax, although I didn't have a catback at all before that. gained a little power over having no catback
