Youll need a 10mm, 13mm, and 17mm wrench and support the front end on stands.
1) Remove the rod shifter linkage from the tranny with the 10mm.
2) Remove the support rod that attaches above the linkage with the 17mm.
3) Drop the rod shifter assembly from the support at the rear of the shifter. 13mm
4) Remove the shifter from the car and get to a suitable working area.
5) With a 4" grinder remove the factory rivets at the clevis.
6) Take center "bolt" to Home Depot and get a replacement bolt, locknut, and about 4 nylon washers.
7) Throughbolt the clevis and using the nylon washers take up the slack between the two clevis components.
8) I put a little grease on the bushings before tightening the nut down.
9) Reinstall into car in reverse order as removal.
