Creaking noise under the seats?

There is a creaking sound under the front seats of my '97 sometimes when I take off or brake hard. Is this normal? I thought these cars were supposed to be the stiffest SHO's of all.

I just bout my '97 about 3 weeks ago and so far I am loving it. I'm coming from a 5.0 background so it lacks some power but the ride and comfort really makes up for it. It's a 60K car in damn near perfect condition and I only paid $8650. ****-of a deal in my opinion.

Seat might be loose or your rear subframe bushings are shot. These cars still benifit from subframe connectors and solid subframe bushings.

Get the cams fixed or you'll be singing a different tune.
