There were a couple of smart ass kids that thought it would be funny to egg cars up and down the block, and my 95 was one of them. The damage is minimal, limited to paint on the driver side door.

The defense attorney claims that I am the only person seeking restitution out of twelve, so I should just let it be water under the bridge.:oogle:

My question is how many Moonlight Blue MTX's were made in 95? It has grey leather and is fully loaded.

My shit got messed up and the guy wants me to forget it, but he can get bent. I had estimates from local body shops for the door only that came in at around $500. Thing is, how well would they be able to blend the paint to make it look normal? Would it be an off shade, and possibly over the years, fade differently?

If the defense attorney wants to be a douche bag, I will be one as well, would the whole car need repainted to look normal?

Thanks guys!

If there were a total of 861 Moonlight Blue 95s, probably less than 400 of them were MTXs.
I'd say even less than that. The lion's share of Post-92 Gen II's were ATX, moreso towards 94-95.

I did a search and found pretty much what you all are telling me. There was somebody that calculated something, and estimated that there were 183 Moonlight Blue MTX's in 95. I was just hoping that somebody had more approximate #'s.

I don't expect to get a dime out of this, but the Crime Victims attorney told me to get as much info as possible since this is a "low production number car".

If nothing else, I will settle out of court simply to smash 2 dozen eggs into their parents cars:evilgrin:

I had that happen one time only I was a high school student at the time so I just went and put nails under their tires but there was no attornies and things like that. Hope all works out and yes they can match it usually pritty good but if he is playing the rude card I would say it is to hard to match and I need it all repainted! lol

LoL.. dude.. wait a second... are you considering believing what the defense attorney said? He has an attorney for this too? Sounds like he has more than just you to worry about. I'd ask for the whole thing plus some change for your trouble. Then see what ya got to work with from there. Attorneys are normally a $500-$1000 retainer, and usually more than that in a criminal case, so I think he has plenty of money, teach him a lesson, and enjoy your new paint. This is in no way your fault, and I wouldn't 'settle' for anything less than perfect. Wish it was my car honestly.. I need new paint. :thumb:

what the most likely thing to happen with the door at a body shop is they will just blend it into the rear door and front fender....basicly they will scuff the other two panels....paint the door with the egg damage....and then extend the paint to the other two panels and clear it all.

I would say get about 3 different estimates from the BEST places around and then take the biggest priced one to court with you, lol.
