Ford continuously gives the wrong front brake rotors and calipers for Police Interceptors. They tend to give out PP parts. The correct part number is BRR252 for the rotors. These are easily distinguishable from the PP ones because of the vent and weight reduction holes in the hat of rotor. See photo.
The correct pads are BRF1475 also pictured. These list for about $250.00 although you can get them for about half.
We’ve traced the issue to the nomenclature in the parts manual.. Instead of being designated “Police” they are designated “high performance”.

Do they make a PI pair for the rear? Curiosity question.

Off the top of my head I know the rotors are BRR 253. I don't have the pad part number at hand but I'm sure they are a match to the fronts.
I prefer the Ford stuff but we have had success in daily driving with the drilled and slotted rotors pictured. We have them on two Police Interceptor Utilities.

If only i knew this before I turned my old drilled and slotted rotors into shop equipment, I bought a set for my wifes explorer before I sold it, which had "towing" HD brakes and are identical to the ones here, the more you know.

Instead of $170 for expensive rear pads.. You can use these ceramic “Pursuit” rated pads.
$170.00 is more than I paid for new Ford correct police rotors brr253 and the Wagner Pads PPV1612

Here's what they look like. I wouldn't use these without the proper BRF1475 front pads and brr252 rotors. Cute police shield on anti squeal clips

Seriously GTF out! Thanks for sharing - I might just order the PI rotors and pads.

So can you list the drilled and slotted PI front rotors and pads.

Then list the PI rear rotors and pads from wagner?

The brr252 are readily available. I just bought 4 of them for under $50 a pop. They are cheaper than the inferior cooling PP rotors. Wagner makes a police, (pursuit), spec drilled and slotted rotor which will handle the pursuit pads. The PP rotors are NOT rated for the pursuit pads. The pads will eat those rotors like they were on a lathe. We just put a set on of the wagners on an explorer PI.
