Wow.....Let's hope that's mostly cleared up by the convention. Main reason....for the people in the car show.

We are staying at the Hawthorne Suites. I was able to book a very nice room for $76.50 per night.

Back to the regularly scheduled SHOw........

The '91 hit the pavement again tonight!!!! Yeah!!!!!!

The car had a heater core leak which Andy just got done with.

The car ran fine after all of you helped the first time. It developed the heater core leak shortly after.

It will need some AC work but is ready for the track now!

I can't wait as I have not driven this car on the track before. It will definitely be different than the old plus.

all I see is stuff to hot wire and drive around drunk in the parking lot. I also see stuff to weld together and make a jail for people like Kris and Ian.

Humm, could we construct the first "drunk tank"?

Unless you need a pool for your kids this is all you need!.

Bed
Shower
Parking lot
Beer
A Place for burnouts

anything else is just a bonus guys, cheer the F up :)

Yesterday after checking some Sat pics the other hotel is only seperated by a thin patch of grass.

Now on to the important stuff, who is in Kzoo? I need a favor please pm me.

Just a note that construction did not JUST start. They have quite a few of the rooms already renovated. They ran into more work around the holidome area than they anticipated, but other interior work is going along pretty much as planned.

They are working on an alternate lot for the car show nearby if the lot isn't adequate when we get there.

I am meeting with them the next two days. Stay tuned, keep rumors to a minimum please!

:)

Really doesn't look bad at all to me. If you don't like it stay at the other hotel.

I'll be on my motorcycle if I'm there. As long as a drunk doesn't tip it over I'll be happy.

Wow, I was thinking the exact same thing when I read this:

....

Bed
Shower
Parking lot
Beer
A Place for burnouts

anything else is just a bonus guys, cheer the F up :)

Hmmmm . . . , I'm trying to remember who it was that first complained about their food being at late/cold at the Olive Garden in Mechanicsburg, and promptly declared they weren't paying for such service . . . .

. . . and who was happy to just be there eating something (other than Flying J pizza) that was actually cooked :ohreally:

So then, why aren't we just staying at Motel 6? They also have:

Bed
Shower
Parking lot
Beer (allowed; and cheaper room rate means more money for )
A Place for burnouts

That wouldn't be Mechanicsburg, PA, would it? My '92 broke down there once. MAF failed.

Just a note that I posted some new information today to another thread in both sections about the convention.

We can't do anything about the host hotel at this point other than suggest other hotels for those of you where the pool and other things are that important, and I know and support some of you switching hotels, it won't be a problem for me if you do. Everyone else, I think you won't be bothered that much with the construction, since we won't be there that much and the nightime parking lot event is long after the constructions crews go home. Read the notes for all the details.

I got a nice reduction in room cost for everyone at the host hotel, and made some changes to the SHOw. Be sure to read about that. A letter is going out Saturday to everyone already registered that is essentially what I have posted links to here and on the SHOclub.com web site. But I want to be doubly sure everyone gets the information.

I want to thank those that have made suggestions, and visited the hotel before I got there. While it may not be ideal, I am convinced that if you come to the event with an open mind and a good attitude, that it won't be a problem.

If it IS a real concern, I can give refunds, you can stay at another hotel, but that is all that can be done at this point. There just are NO other hotels we can go to for what we need. Would have been nice if the hotel had told me a couple months ago at least, but well, they didn't tell me for a reason I suspect, and it worked, but they did take me at my word that if they didn't work WITH me, I WOULD nuke the entire thing! So I think they knew I wasn't happy.

For now I plan on letting them prove that they were sincere when they told me that their staff and management will do everything possible (Possible is the operative word, we should not expect miracles) to make our stay a good one. I think they are really trying, and I will forget about what "could have been" and concentrate on making all our vacations the best I can.

Bring your best attitude, your SHO (or other vehicle) your beverage of choice and let's have a great time.

Questions? Please contact me directly.

Yes it was. It actually says it in his post. All of the food there sucked! Never had bad food at the Olive Garden before. Then again, it is a sort of "fast food" type italian.

Hey, my wendys dinner was fantastic!!! And the dunkin donuts the next morning hit the spot. :snicker: Sometimes the cheap meal is the better one! Then again, as long as I was drinking and listening to BLFB telling his story multiple times it was good.

Ha hahahahahaha ! ! ! !

Apparently, they forget that anything remotely resembling semi-prepared, kinda-warm food is for the average single male, assume food . . . . :thumb:

:burnout:

BLFB . . . ?
