Going from ceramic to semi-metallic pads probably account for most of the difference.

This alone would make a lot of difference. Ceramic pads are not made for any sort of spirited driving. They are good for very light braking with low dust and low noise. Anything more than that and they bake the rotors within a few hours. Ask me how I know this :)

I just picked up my '15 SHO that has everything except the moonroof (401A, driver assist package, etc). So far i love this thing. I am coming from a 2011 WRX and the power in this thing is great. It is so comfortable to drive and has so many features. You cant really be upset having this as a daily.

I was oddly surprised with how planted this thing feels through a nice curvy road. Its hard to believe that a ~4400lb car can brake and turn as well as it does.

One of the first things I noticed when moving from my '11 to my '16 SHO was the difference in braking. The '11 was anemic in that department, the '16 brakes with authority.

Any one out there with any high mileage SHO's? I'm driving a 13' Limited and looking to upgrade to a SHO in the spring. But I drive ~40,000+ miles a year and wondering about the reliability of the turbo system. I test drove one a few weeks ago and it was amazing ride, the creature comforts compared to the Limited are pretty impressive.
