Coming Back Up Soon

Got notified yesterday that they could use some help in our office there and want me to also train / learn some of their specific daily operations. Staffing is shakey there, and I guess they need a "backup" person. Not sure if this is a premonition that they want to move me there in the future or not. Anyway, I should be back in town for 2 weeks (last 2 weeks in September tentatively).

Since I'm supposed to be up there 2 weeks, I might see if I can fly my wife up for the weekend to go BS around the city rather than fly home and fly back up.

Got the confirmation e-mail today. Will be there next Monday-Friday (19th-23rd); staying at the same hotel in Skokie right up the road from Tom's place. If anyone wants to get together for dinner/and or drinks that's fine. I was supposed to be there for 2 weeks, but my 2nd week up there got postponed until October or later.

Meh, woke up with the cold crud this morning; was supposed to go by Tom's today after work, but I'm gonna take some dinner back to the hotel and rest. My friend got a nasty cold a week ago; then his wife got it, my wife got it on Friday, and I woke up with it today....sucks.

I'll see most of you at the bbq next month at the bbq anyway. Will feel alot better and be in a more drinking and hanging out frame of mind.
