I've been pretty busy since I got my car back, and since I now have an old beater to daily for work, the SHO hasn't seen much action other than going to the track.

The first weekend I had the car back, I fixed the front two cylinders that were stripped out. It took a couple hours to figure out how to get the bolts out and then fix the bolts well enough that they would work. Hadn't had time to tackle the rear two that were jacked up.

I'm on vacation all week, so I decided to finally bite the bullet today and get those last two plugs switched out and fix the damage done to the bolts/nuts on the valve covers.

I only got one so far, but was amazed to find the spark plug was gapped at .014. The mechanic had texted me asking what gap they should be, and I told him .026, so I'm not sure how this one ended up at .014, but I am amazed that the car ran my fastest track time ever with one of the plugs so tightly gapped. Having trouble getting the last coil pack out, but I am bound and determined to get it fixed today.

Maybe .014 is really the magic gap for all of them. LOL!

Never let anyone touch your car unless you absolutely have to.
