After seeing quite a few of the Cobra R wheels this weekend I have kinda feel in love with them.
I am now thinking of changing the wheels on my car. I kinda want to go with the Cobra R "look-alikes" because the Cobra R's in 17x7s only come in silver, not chrome.

It would give me the opertunity to upgrade the brakes, I would have more tread on the ground, and I think they just plain look good. How do these "look-alikes" hold up and the "look alikes" on this page karkraft they say the wheels come in 17x7.5s, is that the right size on these? If so would 7.5" wide fit correctly and not rub or hang out the side?

Also what does everyone think of putting these on a T.R. SHO?

You need two more pieces of information. You need to know the bolt spacing. There are some T-birds that had the same as the SHO, but I do not think all of them did. In addition, you need to know the offset. You will want in the 35-45mm range. The OEM wheels are 42mm. Check under the wheels topic on v8sho.com for more info.

Opps I should have specified that information in my original post.

Apparently all the T-Birds and Taurus's had the same bolt pattern so I would be alright if I got the T-Bird wheels (which some SHO owners have done).

Thanks

You should be alright as long as you get the 5 bolt pattern.Don`t forget that the older Turbo Coupes(85 or 86)had the 4 bolt pattern with the Mustang wheels.

That size will fit fine and, in my opinion, look great!

I like the looks of Kirk's white '97 with the Cobra rims, and even the Gen2's I've seen with the Cobra rims.

BTW, when you get them be sure to let me buy your stock Gen3 rims from you!

You can just send them to Brad and I'll pick them up from him :^)

Good luck!
