cleaning the gear shafts

I don't have an air compressor. How should the gear shafts be cleaned? The video shows the use of compressed air to blow out the tranny fluid circulation holes.

Most tool rental places should rent you a compressor for around $20 for the day.

I used a thin piece of steel wire to clean out some plugged oil passages. Someone had sealed the case with RTV before. jpshakeh
