Gas is $$ WALK!
Since prepairing for my suspension and clutch project, I have been colecting parts from various sources. RockAuto, SHOnut, even Napa.
SHOnut rocks, but the local Carquest has simply amaized me. eek!
For suspension items, they carry MOOG. I have since replaced every bushing in my '89s sloppy setup with MOOG TPR bushings. Sway bars bushings, end links, tie rod ends etc. Every part was either proce matched, or beat by Carquest. I am no longer a Rockauto 'believer'
Today I picked up their version of remanufactured halfshafts and CVs. Very impressive, expecially for remans. The splines looked brand new. And at $65 a side, with a lifetime warranty, I am very pleased.
The most impressive thing I found is that I didnt have one miss-ordered or matched item. Every item that I recieved (normally arrived the next day) was a direct replacement part. Fit and finish was perfect. This is pretty unheard of with the SHO, expecially from a chain auto parts store.
I wish I had become a Carquest customer sooner.
Just thought Id share.
