Carbon is such a beautiful material raw screw painting it, it always looks phenomenal with just a clear, but I can understand some people wanting the whole one color look

Yeah I hate the look of it, it always looks like an unfinished project car if it's not painted.

The prices really vary on the cloth types/thinknesses I probably have with the extra trunk invested maybe $700 or so at this point maybe a little more. I'd say the time into it is probably more the issue than the money, a lot of trial/error to see what works best with the space I have. Now that we're slowly exiting winter here in MN I should have a lot more space to work with and things should come together a bit better.

Edit: Working at a bodyshop has definitely helped in terms of material cost and time from techs helping me out with oddball things.
Any update on this?

Nothing at this point, I'll likely do something this summer though. Work has been incredibly busy so I haven't had a ton of free time to work on the car outside of necessary things.

Fair enough! I would love a carbon trunk, I like yours because it retains the lights and trim unlike the full race version from a different member.
