When my car warms up it wants to die when I let off the gas. Exhaust smells like gas. And some times it will crank but not start. Has new spark plugs. No codes. And I still have a drain on my battery from the fuse block under the dash

Battery Drain is likely the football radio cassette player.

Do the RPM's register when its not starting?
Check your Crank and CAM sensors.
Sounds like you are not burning fuel, do you have a leaky injector?

i'd test oil pressure need at least 10psi at idle. and you need the oil pressure to go up with rpm. Im not familiar with a how a oil pressure sender acts when its bad. Im guessing you have low oil pressure and need to drop the pan you can get the new bolts and rod bearings.

Oil light could mean low level or high temperature. Check your sensor wire on the filter canister and make sure hoses aren't kinked.

Oil light is pressure only and it should come on when the pressure drops to around 7 psi. At 341k miles it definitely is the rod bearings. They can be changed like the V6s with the engine still in the car. Pretty easy to do actually.

The V8 does use torque to yield rod bolts which should only be used once. But I reused them and had no problems.
