Ok...I've got this hard rattle when I turn the wheel, and only when I'm in gear. When I coast into a turn, I don't hear anything, but if I put it in gear, the knocking is prevalent. Plus I only hear it in the driver side front wheel. And, of course it doesn't do anything when I'm driving in a straight line.

So...are C/V joints a pain in the *** to replace? Can I go with autozone stuff? Or do I need to go somewhere else in particular? With basic mechanical skill, can I replace them myself? And is there anything else I need to know about C/V joints on the SHO? Thanks guys, Addam

Just replace the axle/halfshaft. rangerj and others have posted the procedures before.

The AZ parts are fine for a daily driver.

Did you inspect the wheel bearings?
