My Ac compressor has died and I have no money to fix it. I have read here about bypassing it with a smaller belt. Im trying to adjust the tensioner to loosen the belt but I cant get any sort of socket of spanner in there, the power steering pully is in the way. How do I loosen off the tensioner? Do I have to remove the AC pully as well to get the new belt in?
Can somebody give me a step by step method to do this, I am not the best with cars.
Its a 95 ATX SHO 3.2l
Thankyou.

On my 93 atx i had to use a boxed end wrench with a pipe for a breaker bar to put the belt back on.my a/c was dead when i bought my car and i was going to leave the compressor off when i replaced my motor mount but i backed out fiquring i was just asking for more computer codes so i just left the wiring connector off to see what happened and i had no problems so in the next week or so i am gonna trash can the compressor if i can get the correct size belt.if i find one i will let you know the part no.
