What are you going to use for paint? Does ford make some grey paint that matches the factory color? I think this is neat what you did.

Agreed. Why not just put the aftermarket stereo where you molded in the stock one? 99.9999999999% have remotes

first off it is very easy for me to reach i am 6 foot 2 i have it in the car and operational now, it does not bother me one bit. i am installing an in dash tv screen that cannot be where the glove box is,ive ran converter boxes for rcas, used my alpine cd mp3 changer, but there is nothing like having the adjustablilty of a good stereo. i was an installer for years and ive yet to see anyone with this.. i have wrapped it in grey vinyl to match the dash. it is so easy to get to. i have a new dash kit football going in this week holding a din slot as well as 3 guages under it. ifi was to paint it they do make factory color match paint at your local paint supply store. everything is plug and play, and just to make everyone wonder i am working on a kit to fit in the factory spot, ive tried about 5 times so far and i think finally i figured out the lil problems with extending the wires for the circuit board.

I love stuff like that. Don't let negative comments keep you from posting. Most of us read and watch with interest and without commenting. Do you happen to have a page to see more pics of your projects? I am interested in anything that takes imagination and skill. Plus I really hate the factory system and want an in dash option if there is someone who can figure it out. I ain't all that good with them electronic circuit thingys.

I think he just unhooked the harness clips and just moved it over there. I think*

The factory radio can be torn apart and moved around it's just there is this that I couldn't figure out how to extend. Otherwise I had it done.

Just use ribbon cable wire from an old computer for all the other stuff...

yes i have someone workin in the ribbon cable- its nice for me a car guy to also know the computer nerds lol- anyways, i like the fab of the radio in front of the shifter, but one i am installin a screen, not enough room and way to low. but props to that i have seen it before it looks great. i think my custom dash kit with the din slot- 3 gauges and a switch and a purge button will do just fine! :nut: .. and like i said i have no problems with my football where it is,
