Everytime I start my car, I hear a loud BUZZ, BUZZ, BUZZ from the instrument panel area near the navigation system / CD Player. It almost sounds like a relay that is powering up the navigation system or something. It's been doing this for months. Everything works, but the noise is getting annoying. Anyone have any ideas or experience a similar issue?

No sir, sorry. Only thing that comes to mind is a CD in the drive spinning up. Have you tried the "Eject" button? :)

It may be the CD player. Makes no difference whether or not a cd is in the CD player. I'll take a ride over to the dealer. We'll see what happens.

Good luck with that, I hope it is simple! The other thing that comes to mind, though your description of the noise would seem to rule it out, is the problem some have had with the blend door(?) actuator, which is part of the HVAC. Apparently it can strip some teeth and make noise when the vehicle starts, though that noise would come more from the passenger footwell I believe.

I haven't experienced either issue yet, so I really can't say, just tossing ideas out there.
Have a good day!

Try looking into the cooling fan for the climate controls. It's behind the panel to the left of the start button. It's got a vent in it to feed air to the fan. The fan may be coming loose from its mount.

I was experiencing the same thing and it was a fan motor related to the HVAC blend actuator. Fixed under warranty (cant find my paperwork for part#) My problem buzz noise was present whether the radio was on or off, as well as whether the hvac was on or off. It sounded like some sort of interference buzzing and was quite annoying and hard to isolate where it was coming from. Should be easy fix at the dealership.
