Which is better? I want to do something about my front brakes without replacing the knuckles yet. Some day, 95 knuckles, and a set of Cobra brakes, or something to that affect, but for now, there's other things that need attention more than modifications. Rotors on the car are ever so slightly warped, and I do mean EVER so slightly.... But it WILL get worse, always does. New pads and rotors won't **** me financially, and I want to do it right. Good performance pads, and good rotors, I think I'll be ok until I do the upgrade.

The powerslots are probably slightly better. SLIGHTLY. Not twice-the-price better. They are plated and that is nice. I used paint myself on my rear Brembos to keep the rusty rotor look away. But that's strictly cosmetic. If you are planning a 96 or Baer upgrade than you don't need to dump the extra dollars into your stopgap brake setup just to get better looks.

I bought a set of Powerslot rotors for my Avenger (you think SHO brakes warp easy??); and from what I was told, they're just Brembo rotors with slots in them.

I wouldn't put them on a daily driver again though. Not worth the vibrations they put through the car when they got hot (HAHA, where they supposed to do that?); I'm pretty sure straight Brembo rotors would do you just fine. I don't think the Powerslot rotors I bought had any plating/coating on them though.

i am in the same position. i want the brembo drilled, but then the powerslots look good also. not meaning that they look good just for the reason that they look good. get what im saying. but i might get the brembo. i read that the brembos have 8 percent less braking ability. but then again whats 8%. so probably going to go with brembo.

Why would brembo rotors have 8% less braking ability? And compared to what? Not a lot of high quality stock rotors out there.

Don't drill your rotors unless you just don't care.

Drilling undrilled rotors -> only gain looks and potential problems down the road. Nice way to weaken the rotors and create a whole bunch of places for stress fractures to start and grow. Can happen. DOES happen.

i thought that drilled/slotted rotors really give you absolutely no braking advantage...why pony up the dough for something whose looks are debatable, especially on your stock setup, and who offer no performance advantage. Besides, even if the stock replacements are low quality... they are cheap enough to just keep throwing on as they warp...I guess im sort of a form follows function type.

We offer brake kits for all years.

For those that don't want to go as far as our 12" upgrade for the 89-93 cars, we do offer a brake kit that comes with slotted Brembo rotors and a set of carbon composite pads. We machine the slots into all of our rotors and don't recommend driled rotors for anything with stock style brakes.

For those with '94-'95 cars, our 12" upgrade includes slotted rotors, the right brackets and a good set of ceramic composite pads. This upgrade still fits in the stock slicers.

The Gen III cars get the same treatment, but without the brackets.

For those with 17" wheels or bigger, we can do Cobra brakes too.

These rotors work well and stay straight. The grooves keep the pads and rotors clean. They sweep the dust out from between the pads and rotor surface. This keeps the rotors from glazing.

If interested, drop me a line...
