Don't know if that would work. I know others have used spacers to raise the intake when they swapped the motor into a rwd application so the t.b. was not right against the firewall. This kind of setup worked. Not sure of the spacer size that they used to rotate the intake 180 degrees

For a throttle cable, just use a morse cable. Thats what most race boats use, im sure other forms of vehicles use it too. You can get them in any length that you may need.

The two I've seen used a 3/8" thick aluminum spacer and still had to trim the top of the timing cover and its backing plate. I think an easier solution would be to move the TB out away from the intake. We're using a remote TB on the SC build-up on The Other Woman and had to fabricate a new Idle Air Bypass route but that wasn't too difficult.
