Got my 95 out of storage, and my blinkers aren't blinking, the lights go on and just stay on
Any advice on possible causes? Also this happens on both left and right sides

Do your 4-way flashers/Hazard lights blink properly, or do they also stay on constant?

The Hazard and turn signals use the same electronic flasher, but within the MultiFunction Switch (MFS) the power source for the flasher is switched as well as the path through the flasher to the lights. If the hazards flash properly that would suggest that the solid state flasher is working and fuse 1 (15A) is also good along with that path within the MFS. Fuse 5 (15A) powers the flasher for the turn signals and since the bulbs light, that fuse is good. That would pretty much seem to point to an issue with the MFS, although I'm not quite seeing a path for the lights to stay on constant if the flasher works. If the hazards stay on constantly too, that would point towards either an issue with the flasher or possibly an issue within the MFS, but again I don't quite see a path where that would be the case. I'd need to spend a bit more time with the wiring diagram to confirm whether or not that could happen.

Let us know if the hazards flash as expected or stay on constant.

I'd say you either need a flasher or a multifunction switch. Pull the panel out that has the dimmer switch in it. The flasher is behind that panel.

They also stay constant
All power for the turn signals and hazards appear to come through the flasher, so the fact that both stay on constant would sure appear to be an issue with the flasher unless there's an internal short within the MFS. You could try removing fuse 1 and if the hazards still stay on constant, that would point to an issue within the MFS. If the turn signals stay on constant but the hazards don't light, then that would point very heavily towards a faulty solid state flasher.

If they stay on, my experience is 100% that it is a bad flasher.

On a 94, the flasher is behind the dimmer switch right?

According to the Factory Service Manual for both 1994 and 1995 the flasher is located in the same location.

Sorry, I am always forgetting if my car is 94 or 95
The guy I bought it from said it was one and the title said another and my brain hasn't been able to straighten it out

Thank you for the diagram, that will help immensely

If your car still has the original emissions sticker on the radiator core support that should list what model year the emissions are applicable to, which would be the year of your car. Or if it still has the door sticker, the manufactured date should be listed on that. That can be a bit challenging though if the manufacture month is 08 since August could be the next model year. Typically anything made September on is the next model year.

In that time period that was mostly true. Nowadays model years are changed whenever the manufacturer feels like it. I have a 2012 Mustang manufacture date 06/11 and a 2016 Taurus manufacture date 07/15. I believe the 12 Mustang production started in April 2011. The Taurus was scheduled to be built in May 2015. The VIN is the sure way to know the model year.

Yep, I agree. My 2011 SHO had a build date of 05/10 but was a 2011 model year. But in addition to the VIN, the emissions label under the hood still said that the emissions applied to the 2011 model year. As long as that label hasn't been changed out for some reason, it will also reflect the correct model year.

Here's the wiring diagram for a '94. Flasher at the top.

I've had a few occasions where a car has had the same problem. The culprit was always a dry joint on the flasher circuit board, knocking out the connection between the board and component. This manifests itself by a black line around the soldered pin. Re-soldering the joint has fixed it. Failing that, see if you can find a FODZ13350A somewhere.

I was going to change the blinker, but by the time the part arrived the problem just disappeared
I'll be keeping my new blinker in the glove box just in case though

Did the weather change? If you recently had a temperature swing or possibly even a significant change in humidity, that could further support Nick's suspicion of a bad solder joint.

Thanks for the P/n, I had to order one for myself. Hopefully the RA one is the right part.
