Wait stock exhaust is 2.25? Whoops. I'm taking a 2.5" to my shop tomorrow to have it welded in, guess he'll have to get creative.

Just need a couple of reducers. :thumb: Or a really ugly welding job.

That's what it's got now, the shop that did the engine swap skipped reducers and just filled it with slag. That's part of why it's going back to my exhaust shop.

Oh, ok, so this isn't a direct replacement. I need 2.25, check.

My quad tips are 2.5" inlet mounted to the factory mufflers. I just had to get a 2" ID to 2.5" OD adapter, trim it to fit and then slam it all together.

So the exhaust got delivered yesterday, and I was able to squeeze in and get them installed today (so overall very pleased with the process). The tips are polished black, and almost go unnoticed now they are on. The sounds is not exactly ideal, but that is just my opinion.View media item 824View media item 823

I will get some more pictures next week after the weather calms a bit and the car can get cleaned up.

I used matte black high temp engine paint and did the tips over a year ago... they still look perfect. The easy way out.

Good call, I might try this first, if I screw it up then they can get replaced.

How did you prep them?

Didn't see this until now. Sorry.... light sanding and make sure they were real clean. Then taped off around them and shoot away. Three coats.
