Is this what some use to clean the manifold/ runners or does Berrymans make an intake/throttle body cleaner? I found the carb cleaner at Walmart, Checker, and Autozone but no intake cleaner.

New England Sho specialists used Berrymans on my intake manifold that had 146,000 miles on it. It was filthy. They used about 4 or 5 cans but my manifold came out spotless! So I would say berrymans is a great way to go.

Yup, that should work great. But beware that you don't spray it on any painted surface since it works better than paint thinner.

Can anyone give some quick instructions on how to do this? I'm getting my 60k done soon, and would really like to clean my intake. There's 134,000 miles worth of gunk in there, and I'm sure it ain't pretty. Also, how much was this stuff per can? I will probably need at least 3 cans.

Thanks

What some of these guy are leaving out is which Berrymans to use there are several different types. Berrymans B-12 is what you want.

stuff we typically find... note the upper pic & the right side plenum after Berryman's.

Do not soak or hose down the black intake rubber. B-12 attacks rubber over time. Remove excess from the outside of the manifold. Have a couple of those red shop rags handy for over-spray. Don't get ANY on your car - SHOCRUZR is right. Vacuum excess sprayed into the lower runners (heads) out before cranking over the engine.

This stuff is the NECTAR OF THE GODS. :) However, avoid prolonged exposure on the skin, no splashing in the eyes. MSDS on Berryman's is available on their website.

To clean your intake ChrisR, just take it off, turn it over, fill with berryman b-12, let sit, spray more, use small brush if needed, then poor out, and repeat to get final gunk.

I filled my intake with the stuff, set it in the sun for about and hour, came back and dumped out what looked like used oil, then the rest came out with just spraying it. Easy job, messy, but easy. And the price on the b-12 goes from like 1.79-1.99.
